USC Blues

The USC Trojans need to learn that every game counts. I don't care who you are playing. Every game you go out and play your A game. The Trojans should have won the game easily. Sadly, they underestimated their opponents, and that was their demise in the end.

New and improved 49ERS

The 49ers are looking very sharp so far this season. J.T. O'Sullivan has been very good and teams are finally having to respect the 49ER passing game and giving Gore some running room. O'Sullivan so far has over a 100 quarterback rating. He threw two touchdown passes last Sunday against the Detroit Lions and Gore rushed for one, on his way to 130 rushing yards for the day. San Francisco will get their first real tests this year with games at New Orleans and against the New England Patriots. Good luck Niners.

Dodgers For Real

The Los Angeles Dodgers are proving to the world that their success is not a fluke. Everyone is playing together and playing great baseball. Every player adds something to the line-up. Let's go down the current line-up.

Matt Kemp- Second on the team with 35 stolen bases. Leads the team in doubles (38) and adds a great glove and speed to the outfield.

Russell Martin- Hitting much better in front of Manny Ramirez. A great catcher and team leader.

Manny Ramirez- An awesome addition to the Dodgers and has done nothing but hit everything hat has come his way. He has 16 homers and 50 rbis in just 47 games with the Blue Crew. Everyone in LA loves him and he brings everyone in the clubhouse up.

Andre Ethier-Has been on an incredible hitting spree. Leads Dodgers in avg (.302), homers (20), and slugging (.507). He is always a threat when he comes up to bat and is a good player to protect Manny.

James Loney- Leads the team in triples (6) and rbis (89).

Casey Blake- Another great addition to the Dodgers line-up. Adds some pop to the line-up.

Blake DeWitt-Been getting on base a lot thanks to walks and adds a good glove at second base, taking over for Jeff Kent.

Angel Berroa- A great fielder over at shortstop and has been hitting very well as of late.

Nomar Garciaparra- Hitting very well and has been starting over James Loney over at first base. Has homered in two consecutive games.
